לְקִיטָהf. (לָקַט) picking, collecting, harvesting. Peah I, 4 ולְקִיטָתוֹ כאחת and such fruits as are harvested all at once (not singly as they become ripe). R. Hash. 14b בשעת לְקִיטָתוֹ עישורו the duty of giving tithes begins when it is being cut. Ib. 15a; Tosef.Shebi.IV, 21 אחר לקיטתו למעשר after it is harvested begins the duty ; Succ.40a אחר (בתר) לקיטה.
